“Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant, what a cast, what a show!”
“After a number of years away from musical theatre, I joined MAODS in 2019/20 for their production of ‘Grease’. We were then hit by the global pandemic, but returned in 2022/23 with ‘Made in Dagenham’ where I was cast in the role of ‘Mr Tooley’.
MAODS is a collection of diverse performers and creatives with a passion for musical theatre. It is always a real pleasure to share the stage with such a talented (and friendly) group of people.
A warm welcome awaits any new member, and I encourage those who may be thinking of joining to give it a go. My only regret is not joining MAODS sooner!”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of MAODS for the past 10 years! My first show was ‘Beauty and the Beast’ which was incredibly magical, a magic that has continued ever since! MAODS feels like a family, a place I have met some of my best friends.
I have appeared in many productions over the years, including ‘Annie’ and ‘The Sound of Music’, however playing a principal role in ‘Grease’ in 2020 was one of the highlights and one I will never forget.
I am honoured to be back this year playing ‘Beryl’ in ‘Made in Dagenham’. alongside an incredible cast.
MAODS is home from home and long may it continue.”
Sophie Butler
Director / Choreographer
“I was welcomed into MAODS with open arms from the moment I joined 6 years ago, and it’s felt like home ever since. Playing ‘Doralee’ in ‘9 to 5’ was a huge highlight in my first year, and I was lucky enough to be hired as the choreographer for ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Grease’.
The pandemic sadly brought a pause to live theatre, so I couldn’t be happier or more grateful to be given to opportunity to Direct & Choreograph ‘Made In Dagenham’.
Thank you MAODS for allowing me to do what I love, sharing one of the best experiences of my life with the best bunch of people.”
